Zen Bell "TAMAYURARIN"

Tamayura Rin is a beautifully designed bell with a soft, rounded shape and a graceful swaying motion when played.
Suspended by a single slender stand, this bell produces a longer and more resonant tone compared to traditional bowl-shaped bells.
It is inspired by the "Rin", a traditional Japanese instrument used in Buddhist rituals. A Rin is typically placed on a household altar and struck during prayers or moments of reflection. It plays an important role in Japanese spiritual and cultural practices, offering a clear, calming sound that signals focus and reverence.
Since its release in 2004, Tamayura Rin has been cherished by many people. It was originally created in response to a simple wish: “I want a compact Rin that produces a beautiful sound.”
The idea of inverting the traditional shape led to a completely new design. With the help of local craftspeople and repeated refinement, the elegant and gently swaying Tamayura Rin was born.
In recognition of its unique design and soothing tone, it received the Good Design Award (Japan) in 2005.(View award details)
Today, Tamayura Rin is used not only for traditional prayer, but also in meditation, yoga, relaxation, and spa settings — bringing moments of calm and mindfulness to everyday life.
